Becky Hawkins, Assoc. AIA, Founding Partner

Becky is a competitor.  At a young age, she had a yearning for adventure and speed.  This led her  to sports where she honed in on her favorites; volleyball, skiing, and waterskiing. She has lived on both coasts and in between, prior to landing in Utah which she calls home.

Becky brings her competitive edge to her work and is a driven planner, designer and co-owner of Method Studio.  Her work has been recognized nationally and includes higher education, libraries, cultural, municipal, housing, corporate and healthcare.  She has been in the industry for 23 years travelling throughout the country leading projects of all sizes and types.  Prior to starting Method Studio, Becky was a principal of both a national firm and one of the largest firms in Utah. For many years, she considered her office an airplane as her work kept her travelling on a regular basis.  Becky thrives on practicing closer to home with a focus on Utah and the Intermountain Region.  She received her education at the University of Utah and with independent studies at Harvard Graduate School of Design and participating in many industry related conferences and symposiums.  Becky has been a speaker at Neocon World’s Trade Fair, UAPPA, International Facility Management Association and at local Universities and is also an award-winning designer.

For the last 10 years, Becky has focused on work closer to home giving her the ability to spend more time with family.  She loves to watch her daughter dance and her boys participate in sports as their greatest cheerleader. When Becky isn’t working you can find her skiing, dirt-biking with her boys and husband, watching college football, or relaxing in the sun with a good book.  Becky considers her greatest accomplishment that of being a mother and always working hard to put her children and family first.
