Christiane Phillips, AIA, NCARB, LEED A.P.

Christiane was born and grew up in Vienna, Austria. Her family was very art oriented, involved in music and performing arts, actively interested in the fine arts; all of this being the natural environment in this city. What motivated her to study architecture was her interest in beautiful buildings and her love of drawing. (Those were the days before CAD!)

Christiane received her undergraduate degree in Vienna and obtained a Master’s degree at the University of Geneva, Switzerland. From there she moved to Paris, France, where she was fortunate enough to find work quickly and with a very successful firm. A few years later she moved back to Vienna and while living there met her husband, who brought her to the United States. Christiane has been living in Salt Lake City ever since she obtained her architect’s license here in Utah and has since worked for a number of offices.

When Christiane is not working she likes to travel, read, listen to music and ride her bicycle. Christiane and her husband have one daughter, who currently lives in San Francisco, doing research at UCSF.
