Nathan Blair

Nathan was born in Templeton California and later moved and grew up in Riverton Utah. Nathan graduated from the University of Utah in 2014 with a Bachelors degree in Architecture. He expects to graduate with a Masters degree in Architecture from the University of Utah in 2016.

Nathan has always been fascinated with the process of taking a rough and abstract idea and refining it into a finished physical manifestation. As a young man he enjoyed designing and building all the skateboard ramps and rails that the neighborhood boys would enjoy. Nathan sees himself as a craftsman at heart after being raised by a jack-of-all-trades which drives the desire to satisfy his hunger to find solutions to new and existing problems.

Nathan is motivated by the influence that architectural spaces play on individuals and communities. A well-functioning, aesthetically-pleasing space can directly affect a person’s emotions and sense of well-being. “Remember how you always felt better after your mom lovingly compelled you to clean your room? A poorly developed space can weigh down on an individual and beautiful, well-thought out spaces can elevate an individual to new heights”, he says.

When not at work, Nathan entertains himself by fly fishing or playing tennis with his wife who works as a phlebotomist while studying to become a nurse.
